Overall, I really like it more than I would have ever thought, and I wanted to tell you guys. The music is great, but the sound was so overbearing that I couldn't completely concentrate on listening to the audiologs. The weapons are all mostly enjoyable to use, especially the Skorpion and Magnum, which carried me from where I picked them up all the way to the end of the game. Despite being a game from 1994, it's not more difficult than Doom or Quake at relatively normal difficulty (I downgraded Cyberspace difficulty only), and I liked being able to peek around corners and cheese the enemies that way, and it was frantic at times. ![]() So, after finally beating the game, I had a surprisingly good time playing it aside from the previously mentioned issues. ![]() I reinstalled a few days ago to find that my saves were still there, and today, I picked up from where I had left off and pushed through the rest of the game. I got to the point where I could use the CPU codes and unfortunately didn't pull the lever next to the numpad and had to go back, eventually quitting and uninstalling because of burnout and a little bit of rage-quitting. The week after the remake came out, I decided to finally delve into the original System Shock and got everything set up the way I was comfortable with. ![]()
